Staveley 3 Valleys Challenge

The Staveley 3 Valleys Challenge (formerly The Sam Houghton Mountain Bike Challenge) is a timed charity mountain bike ride starting and finishing at the Mill Yard, Staveley and covering the Longsleddale, Kentmere & Troutbeck Valleys and taking in Garburn Pass.

Originally organised in memory of Sam Houghton, the event has raised over £200,000 for Cancer Research UK.

All proceeds from this year's event will again be donated to charity. The event continues to support Cancer Research UK (receiving 90% of the proceeds) and, post-pandemic we are also supporting worthy charities and good causes in Staveley (receiving 10% of the proceeds).

2022 Challenge - Great to be Back!!

After 2 years where we were unable to hold the event due to the Covid-19 pandemic, what a day we had on 11th June!! Thanks to everyone who marshalled, supported or otherwise helped out with the event (especially baking cakes!), but most of all thanks to all of the riders who took part and made the day such a special one. Keep checking back or visit our fundraising page to see how much you’ve raised.

Been There, Done That, Get the T-Shirt

Event t-shirts are still available from our friends at Vinyl Bear clothing. The shirts are 100% organic cotton, and £4 from each shirt sold will go to Cancer Research UK.

Caught on Camera!!

Official photos from the day are available from SportSunday - see if you can find yourself! A donation from each picture purchased will be given to the event charities.
