Staveley 3 Valleys Challenge - Event Rules

Entries for the 2024 event will open in Spring 2024.

Entries are available for both the long and short course for the following categories:
- Solo (male or female)
- Pair
- Team (groups of 3 or 4)

Each of these categories will also be available to riders using electric mountain bikes.

In addition, the following category is available for the short course:
- 'Youth & Experience' (2, 3 or 4 riders with at least 1 rider under 16 years old and 1 rider over 18 years old)

All riders taking part in the long course must be over 18 years old. All riders under the age of 16 taking part in the short course must be accompanied by an adult and complete a parental consent form (which will be emailed with the confirmation of entry).

Route maps will be available on the day of the event.

All riders must:
- Sign in at the finish even if they do not complete the course.
- Carry a repair kit (spare tube recommended) and appropriate clothing.
- Wear a helmet.
- Follow the Mountain Bike Code.
- Close all gates.
- Pairs, Families and Teams MUST start and finish together.

Please not that riders undertaking the Long Course must reach the Kentmere Check Point (Check Point 2) by 2.00pm to be allowed to continue on the full Long Course. After 2.00pm Long Course riders will be asked to instead complete the Short Course. This is in the interest of the Long Course marshal's welfare.

Entry fee includes free meal at the finish courtesy of Wilf’s Café AND free admission to Hawkshead Brewery for our post ride bash, presentations, raffle and live music.

Confirmation of start times and further information will be sent to the lead entrant by email. Entry packs containing rider numbers and timing devices will be handed out on the day.
